Body Contouring

We offer a complete range of cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive procedures for the body.

Liposuction

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that uses suction to extract deposits of excess fat from the body. It is usually used to slim the hips, thighs, tummy, waist, or double chin. It is not a weight loss method but is effective for isolated areas of fat that have not responded to diet and exercise.

The surgery requires only a small incision, in which a small tube (called a cannula) is inserted, and the fat cells are “vacuumed” from the body. There are a variety of liposuction techniques.

Liposuction is also used for fat injection, in which the fat that is extracted is used as a dermal filler to restore lost volume to the face, neck, or hands. Read more about liposuction at Renaissance Plastic Surgery.

Tummy Tuck / Abdominoplasty

A tummy tuck, called an abdominoplasty by surgeons, is a procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the tummy or abdomen. This popular cosmetic surgery technique is best suited for people who have excess fat in this area that diet and exercise have not improved. Both men and women frequently opt for this surgery, but it is especially helpful for women whose abdominal skin has been stretched as a result of pregnancy. The result is a flatter, tighter tummy area. Read more about tummy tuck at Renaissance Plastic Surgery.

Body Contouring After Massive Weight Loss

After significant weight loss or bariatric surgery, excess skin and pockets of fat often remain. Body contouring to remove this excess skin and fat can include a number of potential plastic surgery procedures depending on your needs.  Possible body contouring surgeries include liposuction, tummy tuck, facelift, breast lift, breast augmentation, breast reduction, and male breast reduction.  These surgeries reshape the body for a more pleasing appearance. Read more about body contouring after massive weight loss.
